You will receive the Valentine's Day 10 Frame Game file. There are 10 game boards and one page of small hearts to use on the game boards, see more game boards below {that
are included} and the instructions which are also included in the file.
Print out the 10 game boards and the small hearts onto heavy paper such as white cardstock paper, laminate the game boards, you will need one game board per child. If you have more than
10 children in your care, print out more game boards.
If you are going to use the paper hearts you may want to laminate them too or you can use candy hearts or heart stickers, bingo chips, pennies, etc.
After you laminate the game boards you will need to cut between the 2 game cards on each page. You will end up with 10 game cards.
There are 40 hearts to print out and cut out to use on the game boards, unless you decide to use candy hearts, bingo chips, etc.
If you have children that still put things in their mouths you will may want to use mega blocks or something big enough and safe enough for them to use on the game boards such as fish crackers, etc.
If the children in your group have trouble counting to 10, then print out more of the game cards with numbers up to 3 or up to 5. If you know they can count to 3 with no problem then
print out to number 4 and help them as needed in counting up to 4.
Do you have older children who can count easily to 7 or 8 then you will want to use all 10 game boards.
Lay the game boards face down onto a low table or on the floor and mix them up, have the children pick one of the game boards.
Game 1:
Turn all the cards over and have the children each pick one card, if you have more than 10 children in your group you will need to print out more cards, have the children look at the number on the top of their card and then place that many hearts onto the squares under the picture on their math game boards.
Teacher will check each childs board as they finish and if they are correct they will remove their hearts and trade cards with a friend and repeat. If they are wrong, teacher will help them count out the correct number of hearts.
Game 2:
Have the children take turns picking a game card and placing the correct amount of hearts into the squares on the grid under the number on the game board, repeat with each child.
