Freddy Farmer Feeds The Animals – Circle Time Story

Free activity coloring book to go along with our preschool farm animal theme.

The first week of November we start our farm animal lesson plans for toddlers and preschoolers. This story was written to go along with our farm animal theme. We will read this story during our morning circle time.The farm animals being used in the story are a cat, dog, sheep, pig, chicken, cow, goat, horse and a duck. During circle time, after you read the story, you may want to have each of the children color one or two of the farm animal pictures. As they are coloring the farm animals the teacher can sing Old McDonald had a farm and hold up the pictures from the coloring book to show the animal that she is singing about.

Print out the Freddy farmer story onto white copy paper. This story is also a fun learning activity working on colors. The story will ask the children to color the animals different colors. Have the children color the animals through out the week and after all the pages have been colored, teacher can put the pages together to make a book. After the book has been put together teacher can sit down with the children during morning circle time and sing old McDonald had a farm with the children and have them turn the pages of their Freddy farmer fed the animals book to see the farm animal that the teacher is singing about.
