The moon goes here and the heart goes here and ha ha the pot of gold goes in my mouth!
Print out one Lucky Charms sorting mat per child and lamanate so you can wash these before giving the children cereal to sort on them.
Give each of the children a big handful of cereal and have them sort the cereal onto their Lucky Charms sorting mat, have them place the cereal into the bowl picture and the mashmallows onto the mat by which item it is, the moons will go into the circle that has a moon on it, the hearts will go into the circle with the heart on it, etc.
During science time today the kids will taste the Lucky Charms too to see if the moons taste different than the hearts.
This is a fun flannel board rhyme. You will need five shamrocks and a felt board. Provide each of the children with five shamrock puppets {from art time today}. Have the children put one shamrock down and count the shamrocks that are left after the bunny eats one.
Fruit loops make a great learning tool kids can sort them, make patterns with them, count them and eat them, Yum Yum!
