Watch Out For The Mud Game. Fun Preschool Transportation Lesson Plans!
Directions: Print out the teddy bear game board onto heavy paper such as white cardstock paper and laminate.
You will need a deck of cards such as UNO cards or you can use regular cards too. Pick out the numbers you want to use such as the numbers 1, 2 and 3.
You will need some brown play dough for the splats and a toy hammer, or you can use pieces of brown paper.
Teacher will say, uh oh, teddy bear drove through a mud puddle how many splats of mud did he get on his car?
Teacher will pick one of the children to go first and have that child pick one card from the deck, if he or she picks the number 2, teacher will give them 2 small balls of brown play dough to put onto the car picture
and then pass the child a toy hammer to hit the play dough to flatten it and teacher can say 1 splat, 2 splats as they hit the play dough with the hammer.
Then have the child pretend to clean the car, they will remove the play dough and use a paper towel to wipe the game board and then it’s the next child’s turn, repeat until the children lose interest.
