This is a fun game to help the children to recognize numbers and to learn to count as they move their teddy bear counter along the game board.
There are two ways to play. Directions: Download and print out the teddy bear race game above onto heavy paper. You will need to print out one game board for each chid and cut them in half and tape together to make the row of boxes one long line.
Math Game 1: Print out one page per child, cut in half and tape it together to make one long board with all the squares in one row.
You will need some teddy bear counters to use on the game board.
You will need a deck of cards such as UNO cards or you can use regular cards too or you can cut up some squares of paper and write on the numbers you want to use,
such as 1 to 3 or 0 to 5, etc. If you are using the UNO cards pick out the numbers you want to use such as the numbers 1, 2 and 3.
To begin, Have the children take turns picking a card from the deck and moving their bear that many spaces on their game board. The first child to get to the finish line is the winner.
Math Game 2: For the older preschool kids you can have them play in some groups of four using one game board where each child will have a different
colored bear to go across the boxes. The four children will use the same game board and each one will have a different bear to move around the game board, play the game with rules above.
