This is a cute coloring page for young children. Print out the bear coloring page onto copy paper, you will need onen for each child.
Hold up the bear and ask the children to look at the picture. Ask the children if they think the bear is ready for summer or for winter. Explain to the children that in the summer time it is hot outside and we go to the beach or the lake. We wear shorts and tee shirts. Some people make lemonade to drink. Ask the children if they can think of other things that we do in the summer time.
Then explain to the children that in the winter time we put on extra clothes to try and keep warm. Tell the children that in some places they get snow in the winter and the children make snowmen or go sleding. Ask the children if they can think of other things that we do in the winter time.
Have them look at the bear picture and see if they can tell what season the picture is displaying, summer or winter?
Ask the children how they can tell the bear is ready for winter? Is it the clothes he is wearing? Do we wear warm hats, scarfs and mittens in the summer?
Ask the children what activity is the bear getting ready to do? Is he getting ready to go roller skating? Is he getting ready to ride a bike? Is he getting ready to go sking?
Ask the children what time of year do we go sking? Do we go sking in the summer time or the winter time?
Have the children color the picture.
