The children will be learning the letters A-B-C this month and teacher will make the ABC letter cube die shown above and the children will have fun rolling the die and yelling out the letter that it shows.

During apple week the children will be learning and reviewing their colors with the apples and the colored pompoms, the yellow apple is shown above. The children will take turns matching up pompoms to the different colored apples, this is one of our fine motor and sensory activity for the kids this month.

During our leaf week theme the children will match up leaves by color. This is such a fun hands-on game for the kids to play, and we all know how much kids love to play games! Plus this fun game will help teach the kids their colors while having fun!

Another fun activity during our leaf lesson plans will be the hungry caterpillar. Wow, the kids love feeding the caterpillar! The children will take turns shaking a cube die and feeding 1, 2 or 3 leaves to the caterpillar. Our program also offers the children in your group circle time, storytime, songs and rhymes, creative movement, crafts, pre-reading,literacy activities, math skill, science for kids, physical large motor activities every day {5 days per week} for each month purchased!

The girl and box pictured above will be helping the children learn their letters A-B-C this month. This activity can be found in our "Me and My Friends" week 1 lesson plans.

This super cute activity holds the children's attention span and encourages them into finding the matching letters and placing them into the empty box the girl or boy is holding up. The matching letters can be a foam letters, plastic letters, wooden letters or whatever type of letters you have on hand that will fit inside the box. If you don't have any plastic, foam or wooden letters on hand you can print out the paper letters that we have available in our friend themed lesson plans for week 1 to use with this letter activity.

We make this book every year for our preschool class and we have been doing this for over 10 years, and this is the book the kids want read to them the most. Plus they will ask to look at the book during free play, they look at the pictures with their friends. The kids just love looking at it over and over again.

The words are simple and catchy and before long the kids will be repeating the words right along with you.

We used colorful bears to catch the children's attention and to help teach them learn or review their colors as we read the story to them.

It's so exciting for the kids to see themselves and their friends in this book and say "oh look there's Lizzy!" "Hey, that's me!

To make the book even more fun, place a square flap of paper over each child's picture and tape the top edge of the square box so you can lift it up to see who's underneath. Ask the children does anyone know who's under the square? They start with the letter C, can anyone guess? The children get really excited over guessing who's under the flap.

These books also make excellent Christmas presents for the kids, they can see their friends even when they are home!

We provide one day of fun hands–on grandparents activities in September.

Kids love making these cute cards for their grandparents. There are four cards in color that you can print out or three cards in black & white, you can choose which cards you want to use. Quick and easy activity for the kids to make cards for their grandparents. If one of the children only has a grandmother or only has a grandfather we also have separate cards to print out such as one for the grandmother only or one for the grandfather only.

Decide if you want the kids to color the cards or print out the cards that are already in color. Craft directions for the inside of the cards are in the lesson plans, you will have the kids finish the inside of the cards to make them special for their grandparents.

Grandparents' day is the first Sunday in September after Labor Day.

This activity has eight cute bears to be used in our fun hands–on match up game.

We have two game boards and eight colorful bears in this fun color matching activity that the kids just love! The kids will match up the colorful bears to the bears on the game boards.

There are two game boards, the first game board has red, blue, yellow and brown bears, the second game board has pink, purple, white and green bears, depending on the ages of the children in your class you can decide if you want to use one or both of the game boards.

Just print the pages onto heavy paper such as white cardstock paper. You may want to laminate to make it more durable. Simply print out the two game boards and the matching bear cards and cut out the bear cards to make a fun and easy matching activity with the cute colorful bears. This matching activity helps the kids practice learning their colors as they focus on matching up the bears.

Print out the letter A book onto white cardstock paper and fold in half so the letter A is showing, print out the letter a pictures, have the children color the pictures, cut them out and glue inside the letter A page to make a one page book, fun simple letter A activity that teaches the children their letters and they have so much fun making the books.

Print out the butterfly letter Bb activity sheet and have the children match up clothespins to the letters on the cards, there is also an Alligator card for the letter Aa and a letter Cc cat card for the children to clip on the clothespins this is not only a fun learning activity but a fine motor activity as well.

Print out the letter Cc cat – coloring and writing page for each child. Have them trace the letter C and color the cat.

Fun Math Activities For Young Children

The children will be learning the numbers 1, 2 and 3 this month. We offer fun games, worksheets and many other activities to help the children learn their numbers. Teaching children their numbers with crafts and three cans is a great hands–on math activity for the children. Have them drop the craft sticks into the cans by matching up the numbers to the correct cans.

Each month the children will learning a new shape, this month's shape is a circle. The children will learn about circles with fun games, worksheets and other activities to help them learn the circle shape. One activity they will be doing to learn about circles is to trace and color the circles.

We also offer fine motor activities, one of our fine motor math activities is the math activity "How Many Circles?" Teacher will print out the cards and cut them apart, there are 2 to a page. Teacher will need some clothespins and write the numbers 1, 2 and 3 onto the clothespins and have the children match up the clothespins to the correct numbers.

The children will color and trace the number 2 on the worksheet shown above, and they will also color the picture. There is also another worksheet like this one for the number 1 and the number 3, the numbers the kids are learning for September.
